History

I could not love you if you could not understand.

I could not love you if you could not understand that your skin colour does not define who you are. If you are white, black, caramel, yellow, red or any other colour you have been blessed to be. Embrace it. Love it. I have been fortunate enough to never experience racism first hand. Friends of mine have. A male friend of mine with darker skin told me he wanted to scrub his skin off so he could be a better person. My heart died hearing him say this. For anyone else thinking the same please hear me when I say - WE ARE ALL EQUAL. You are beautiful no matter what skin colour, race or religion. If someone tries to put you down for your beautiful skin colour that radiates over your entire body they are not worthy of your time. Just because I have pale skin does not make me better than you. Just because you have darker skin, in know way makes you less than me. We are both one in the same.

I could not love you if you could not understand that all love is the same. It does not matter if a person prefers the opposite sex or the same sex. It does not make them different, it does not mean they need a label to define them - the love you give to another human does not define you. The love we give to another human is the same no matter if it is male or female. If I love a woman that does not mean I am confused. If a male friend of mine is in love with another man that does not make him disgusting, or weird or 'gay'. He is still the exact same person he has ever been. He does not need a label to define him, to shape him, to condemn him. All love is equal whether it is between a boy and a girl, two men or two women – heck lets throw an orgy of sexes in the mix. It does not matter.I could not love you if you were racist, sexist or homophobic.

I could not love you because I refuse to love someone who empowers the oppression of others. Who demonise's and marginalises other beings for having a different skin colour, belief system or for being born a certain sex. I see each and everyone one of us as equal, if you cannot than I am sorry.

Crazy/Beautiful

'You are crazy,' he said. 'That's why I chose you.'

I have been described as many things - crazy, eccentric, insane, charismatic, even wild.

I like to think of it as a positive attribute. If someone was ever to ask why, I would merely say that I am an adventure, you just never know what you are going to get, and thats what makes this wonderful life I am living exciting.

I don't want to be you or someone else. I want to be and feel every single part of what makes me, me. If I want to scream I will scream. If I want to make love with a stranger, dance naked in the rain, I will. Why? Am I self destructive, a loose cannon perhaps? Maybe. Maybe I just want to do and experience everything I feel. Thankfully those feelings are harmless and just a little fun, but I don't want to bow down to what people think is appropriate.

A man said to me recently,'You are crazy. That's why I chose you. You were not following the norm. You didn't seem to care about yourself or others, you just did what you wanted. You were crazy, but  god you were beautiful.'

End of the world

I love the way an image can make you feel. Capturing a single moment  in a frame that will last forever. I got lost in the photos imagining an entirely different world that was untouchable.

Charlotte's Web

Her name is Charlotte…

I picture you as this intricate web that I will never see, nor do I think I want to. With the rise of the sun I imagine you glistening in the morning light, the silver threads dusted with morning dew. He gazes up at this masterpiece as he once gazed upon me. A look of wonderment, adoration and love; I don’t know what hurts more the fact that I know what you will have or that I know now what I will not have again.

I was the autumn leaf that fell too far when the seasons changed. I was there for a while, a small piece of beauty in a bigger picture, but that picture like many things had to change seasons. Maybe if I had held on a little tighter I could have made it through the winter, made it through so that I could bloom again in the spring. Maybe you could have waited or I could have been stronger. Maybe I could have done a lot of things but I am left with what is and what has been.

I felt the summer sun during the hottest of days; the bloom of flowers in the coming of spring and the ever-changing colours of life in autumn, but the time was forever changing. I couldn’t hold on any longer and as this once beautiful leaf fell from the tree it was swept up into a gust of wind. From above I can see now that you are content gazing at her silver threaded art, so I let the wind take me. As I move I can still hear the haunting whisper of her name reverberating through my mind. Her name is Charlotte, you say.

About A Boy: Jack Grayson

Originally from Yass, Australia, Jack Grayson photographs stunning people, places, and things for a living. Currently based in London, Jack is chasing his passion as a photographer whilst experiencing other worldly adventures. Having worked with Jack a few years ago (before he became famously and fabulously sought after)  I have become obsessed with his work and attitude towards life.  So here is a snapshot into the life of Mr. Grayson. Enjoy

How did you get started in photography?
I was studying architecture but realised I loved photography a lot more, so I dropped out and started assisting, where I assisted Max Doyle for 2 years.

Where do you find your inspiration?

Pretty much everywhere haha, types of light, certain stories, research papers. I’m interested in everything.

Any memorable travel stories?
My favourite recent travel memory was lying on the coast of Italy with my girlfriend, watching the sun go down with a bottle of wine in a village with no cars, heaven

What do you consider the funnest part of your job?
Getting to explore a million different things and call it work.

How does living in London affect the work you create?

I love London because no matter what your idea is there are going to be other people interested in making it happen.

If you could choose one artist/band to listen to for the rest of your life who would it be?
It would probably be between Real Estate and Twerps.

If you could meet one person dead or alive who would it be?
Marc Newson does some pretty great work, Pierre Soulages too, I watched an interview once where he was saying when he works on a canvas for a while and decides he doesn’t like it, he burns it, then he goes to sleep and starts again. Or Cindy Sherman, sorry that wasn’t really one person haha.

Favourite food –
In love with orecchiette + broccoli at the moment
Favourite drink –
Fond of a negroni at the bar

Finally, what can we look forward to seeing from you in 2015?
I’ve got some exciting projects coming up with some really exciting people, so hopefully lots of beautiful work!

For those interested you can view more of Jacks work here and here. If you aren't interested do it anyway because he is AMAZING! Come back home and visit soon Jackie boy
