Yes I know my heading doesn’t make sense but I am just super
excited to share with you my most recent purchase! If you hadn’t already
guessed I am now the proud owner of a Mandala tapestry.
For those who are reading this going ‘what the heck is a
mandala’ a mandala is a circular figure representing the universe in Hindu
and Buddhist Symbolism. The word itself is loosely translated to mean circle. I
went online to the mandala project and they described it like this:
‘It represents wholeness, and can be seen as a model for the
organizational structure of life itself – a cosmic diagram that reminds us of
our relation to the infinite, the world that extends both beyond and within our
bodies and minds… Describing both material and non-material realities, the
mandala appears in all aspects of life: the celestial circles we call earth,
sun and moon as well as conceptual circles of friends, family and community’.
Or for those of you who aren’t too fussed on the meaning or
symbolism behind mandala they are just beautiful, symbols of art that you can
use to hang as a wall tapestry, bed spreads or beach side blanket. Get your
mandala on my sweets
